Kevin Collis

Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. He began working for Ernst & Young in San Francisco in 1979 in the audit department. He earned his Certified Public Accounting license in 1981 and spent three years in the Oklahoma City office of EY from mid 1982 through mid 1985. Kevin left Ernst & Young as a senior manager to form Collis and Ramos with David Ramos.

Kevin is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Kevin specializes in small business income taxation including corporations, partnerships, LLCs and sole proprietorships, and in highly-compensated individuals that have complex income tax issues. His clients include professionals and service businesses, and construction and manufacturing companies.

Kevin and his wife, Debi, have two children and live in Danville and are active in the school district. Kevin serves on the Endowment board of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation.

David Ramos

David has over 28 years of experience in public accounting. He was born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Francisco State University in 1981. He began his professional career in the San Francisco office of Ernst and Young in January, 1981 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in January, 1983. He left Ernst and Young in October, 1987 as the Senior Manager in charge of taxation for Ernst & Young’s Walnut Creek office in order to form Collis and Ramos, LLP with Kevin Collis.

David has been a member of California Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s for over 25 years. His main concentration during his many years as a partner at Collis and Ramos, LLP is in the area of tax and general business planning including tax return compliance for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses. He works with clients in a number of different industries including professional services, high technology and manufacturing and works with complete tax planning and compliance issues affecting individuals as well as partnerships, LLC’s and Corporations.

David and his wife, Mary, have two children and live in Alamo and are active in a number of community organizations in the Danville/Alamo area.
